Magdalena Nowak

Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk at the department of Industrial Design, majoring in Naval Architecture, and the Gdansk University of Technology at the department of Architecture and Urban Planning. Professionally, she is involved in product design and is associated with the shipbuilding office, where she works as an architect. As of 2019, she is a member of the SPFP. She is a PhD student at the Department of Design and, since 2022, a teaching assistant at the Social Design Studio at the Fine Arts Academy in Gdansk. Involved in maritime and design education activities – co-founder of the informal group " byćMORZE" and author of numerous design workshops. She considers the shaping of an aware and responsible society as the primary obligation of present day designers, and perceives the essence of their work as provoking social change and influencing, through design, the mood and shape of the world around them.
